TBT! Grudge Racing the OG Murder Nova in 2012
Here's a little throwback Thursday for you all. I was feeling nostalgic the other day and scrolling through my old youtube channel. So much good stuff on there. I ran across this gem and it instantly took me back.
Many of you know, while many of you may not know; before Midwest Streetcars was our place of business, it use to just be a web forum where everybody logged on to talk trash to each other, set up races, sell used parts, b.s., etc etc. Back in 2011-2012ish, we decided we wanted to add to our racing resume by putting our hats in the grudge racing game at the track. While we had been online stirring the pot trying get some people to bite, a grudge racer from down in Texas laid out a challenge to anyone in the state of Oklahoma. Perfect. So we loaded up the OG Murder Nova and its Procharged big block and headed to one of our favorite little tracks, Northstar Dragway in Denton, TX for an event labeled "Grudge Fest". We made the trip knowing that many of the baddest of the bad "no time" grudge racers in the area would be in attendance putting on a show, but mainly to look for Cornbred to accept his challenge.
As you'll see in the video below, things didn't exactly go as planned, and we actually struggled to find a race, but we still had a great time and got to pay a little tuition to the School of Grudge!
